Surveys2Cash is promoted as an easy way to make money online taking paid surveys, but it's really NOT at all.
In fact, I think most people reading this will consider Surveys2Cash a scam after seeing what's really going on here.
Wondering what I'm talking about? Keep reading and in this review I'll go over exactly what happened to me when I joined.
What Is Surveys2Cash?
At first glance it looks like any other paid survey site. They tell you that "your opinion can change the products of tomorrow, today"--and what they are talking about is that by sharing your opinions on things as a consumer, you can influence what types of products/services companies provide in the future.
This all checks out. Survey sites collect opinions for market research purposes. There are plenty of survey sites out there that are legit and that do pay, such as Opinion Outpost and Gift Hunter for example.
HOWEVER, Surveys2Cash is not one of them. In a nutshell, this place doesn't offer paid survey opportunities and is only interested in collecting information from you so that they can sell it, as well as shoving promotions in your face.
The 'Scammiest' Signup Process I've Ever Seen
When you first land on the website everything seems normal. They tell you that you have to sign up, complete a questionnaire to build your profile and then you will receive offers.
This all sounds normal. Usually paid survey sites make you answer a bunch of questions about yourself so that they can build a profile for you and better match you with surveys.
HOWEVER, this is not what actually happens!
First you will be prompted to enter your name, email and birth date--as well as check a box to agree to receive emails from them.
Next up you will have to enter your street address and phone number--AND you will have to check another box--this time giving consent to receive "phone sales calls or SMS text messages".
Are you kidding me? Now this is when it starts to seem a bit scammy and when things start to take a turn for the worse.
I'm definitely not looking to get a bunch of sales calls and I'm sure you aren't either.
But anyways... let's proceed...
After the initial part of the signup it's time for the questionnaire to build your profile... or at least that's what I think it's supposed to be.
But the reality is they they just ask a bunch of dumb questions and try to get you to sign up for things you don't want to.
The first part of the "questionnaire" asked me to select magazines I want to receive from RewardBee... what the heck??...
Then there was a bunch of random questions asking about health insurance, if I want free samples or not, credit card offers, and a bunch of crap like this...
I just answered "no" to all I could and tried to get through this ridiculous signup process as fast as possible.
I was expecting to answer profile questions like what my job is, education level, income level, hobbies, etc.--not asked to sign up for offers and view a ton of ads.
Scammy? Yes... but wait to you see what's waiting for you on the inside...
What You Get After Signing Up
You would think that you are signing up for an opportunity to make money by taking online surveys, would you not?
After all, this place's name is Surveys2Cash and they tell you that you will be able to share your opinion via surveys to make money.
HOWEVER, as you might be expecting... this place is not what you would call legitimate, and it's full of lies and deceiving information.
After the ridiculous signup process I was then matched with the "top paid matches", which included...
- Win a KitchenAid Artisan Mixer
- Make up to $100 Per Survey from Home!
- Find Fedex jobs near you...
Now I don't know why the heck they would think that I want a KitchenAid Artisan Mixer. At no point in the signup process did I indicate I wanted something like this. And I don't know why they would think I want to work for Fedex... I have no desire to do so.
The "make up to $100 per survey from home" offer is more like what I'm searching for--but this sounds incredibly scammy because I know there is no way in hell I'm going to be making $100 per survey. I've reviewed plenty of paid survey sites over the years and normally it's more like $0.50 - $2.00 per survey.
But anyways... I tried clicking on the offer with no luck. The page that opened for me just tried loading endlessly and never actually loaded, so I don't know what's going on there.
That said, I know it's a scam because the offer was for a survey site called Opinion City, which has an absolutely horrible reputation and serves no real purpose. It is nothing more than an extra hoop to jump through, and makes money referring people to real survey sites.
I then clicked on the Fedex offer to see what that was, which sent me to a website called StartACareerToday...
As expected, you have to enter your information again--your phone number, email, name, etc.
Also, notice how I have to agree to receive calls and SMS messages from their "marketing partners"...
What I'm seeing here is a series of endless hoops to jump through. You are taken to offer after offer and enter your information again and again--while agreeing again and again to receive emails and calls from sales people.
Privacy Policy & Terms
Most people don't bother actually reading the Privacy Policy or Terms & Conditions for sites like this, and I'm guilty of this too, but if you would read them you would notice that something is up--something isn't right.
Privacy Policy
In their Privacy Policy they state that they may share, sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties--which include direct marketing service providers, email marketers, telemarketers and more.
I've read quite a few privacy policies in my day (for similar sites) and it's rare to see one that specifically states they are allowed to share your info with places like this--but I guess we already know this since you have to agree over and over again to receive sales calls and what not when going through the different scammy offers they give you.
Terms & Conditions
In their Terms & Conditions they state that "Surveys2Cash may cancel your account and/or terminate your access to the Surveys2Cash offerings at any time and for any reason, in its sole discretion".
That sounds pretty scary does it not?
That said, survey sites often state something along these lines that gives them authority to do pretty much whatever they want. However, I was looking at Swagbuck's (popular survey site) Terms and they at least give a list of reasons why you may have your account terminated. This place just says they can do it "at any time and for any reason".
So maybe they will terminate your account if they don't like your name, or maybe if they don't like where you are from.
I guess it really wouldn't be such a bad thing though--if terminating your account means you get your name taken off the lists of marketers that are going to be blasting you with emails and sales calls then this is a good thing.
Conclusion: Is Surveys2Cash a Scam?
Basically Surveys2Cash is a website that lures people in with the hopes and dreams of making super easy money taking paid surveys only to suck the life out of them by taking them in endless circles entering more and more personal information and agreeing again and again to receive sales calls, emails, SMS messages and more.
This place is only in it for themselves and is trying to make money any way they can. You are bombarded with promotions and ads in the signup process and will continue to be bombarded with such if you give this place any information.
Obviously I'm not going to be recommending this website. It is very scammy to say the least and I think most people would call it a flat out scam.
If you want a legitimate paid survey recommendation from me I would go with Swagbucks, which is well trusted and has been around for years. That said, don't expect to make much at all. You are pretty much guaranteed to make less than minimum wage after doing the math, which is why I don't really care for paid survey sites and don't use them myself.
If you are looking for an opportunity to actually make good money online in your spare time then I would highly recommend this program that I use (and have been using since 2015) to make a living working online.
Alternatively you can take a look at this list of work at home ideas, all of which are better than paid surveys.
I hope you enjoyed this review and found it helpful. Hopefully you didn't enter your email and give this Surveys2Cash place much info because if you did you are likely going to experience frustratingly high volumes of sales pitches. You will have to contact Surveys2Cash for this. It might be nearly impossible to get them to take you off their list however.
