Wondering what Paul Mampilly's "America 2.0" stock is that he's been teasing? Is it legit? Is it some sort of scam? What's really going on?
If so, you're in the right place. I recently came across the teaser and decided it would be a good idea to alert people as to the truth of the matter, and in this post I'll be exposing some misleading information, a few lies, the point of the entire presentation, the top stock pick he's teasing and more.
I'm guessing you probably saw the video presentation. If you did, you wouldn't forget it. After an hour+ presentation like that, you'd never forget the pain & agony of trying to sit through the whole thing.
In the presentation Paul Mampilly is talking with John Daily. The whole thing is set up as a news interview, but really it's just promotional content. They even try to make it seem like a live broadcast by allowing viewers to ask questions beneath the video, but this is probably just a little trick to get people's email addresses for marketing purposes.
"America 2.0", as Paul Mampilly calls it, is an "economic upgrade" in which he claims that Americans will experience prosperity like never before. Some of the statements he makes in the presentation include that:
- "unemployment will vanish, debts will be erased and retirements secured"
- stock markets will soar, claims the DOW will go as high as 100,000
- real-estate will also soar "at least 100% in the months to come"
- will be tremendous prosperity if you position yourself at the forefront
- stocks will surge over 1,000%
That's quite a list of bold predictions he makes, which are definitely a bit hard to believe at this point in time.
The presentation then goes over a bunch of past recommendations that Paul has made in which his predictions have come to fruition, such as his recommendations to invest in Olympus and an unspecified Mortgage Company, which both produced large gains...
However, it's easy to look back on the past and cherry-pick winners to show the public. But what about the loosing recommendations he's made? Well, of course we aren't shown those.
But anyhow... Paul Mampilly claims that he is seeing the same buy signals right now as he did before massive gains in the past... and that the gains will be "bigger, safer, and faster... much faster" than before.
The presentation then goes on to tease a few reports that Paul wants to give views for "free". These include:
- "My No. 1 Stock" - his number one stock pick at the moment, which he predicts will soar in price
- "The Blacklist" - goes over 100 companies that he things everyone should avoid
HOWEVER, besides the fact that the information provided sounds a bit too good to be true, my suspicions grew a bit more after I did some additional research and found that many of the images shown in the presentation were actually fake.
Fake Images
At one point in the presentation they started showing images and quotes from people who have supposedly been following Paul's advice and making a fortune from it. However, after performing some reverse Google image searches, I was able to find that the images of these people are fake.
For example, below is a guy that is supposedly named "Brian Thomas" who has supposedly made $167,000...
However, I was able to find that the photo of the man shown is just a stock photo, which anyone can purchase online and use as they wish...
And the same goes for other images shown.
Below is "Suzie Morgan" who has supposedly made a massive gain of $300,000...
But again, this is also a stock photo... and definitely not a woman named "Suzie"...
So this makes you wonder... if the images shown are fake, then what else is fake with this entire teaser that sounds a bit too good to be true?
Let's start by talking about what America 2.0 really is...
What Is America 2.0?
America 2.0 is nothing more than a term made-up by Paul Mampilly to refer to the new manufacturing and economic boom that he is predicting, which he also refers to as "Fourth Industrial Revolution".
The revolution, according to Paul, is being driven by 2 main things: technological innovation and younger Americans who are using the new technologies... which makes perfect sense considering you pretty much need these components for any sort of "revolution" like this to happen.
The main industries that he is keeping an eye on here are ones with lots of new innovation in recent years, such as internet-based businesses, 3D printing, AI, robotics, renewable energy, 5G, etc.
The term "America 2.0" was just made-up for marketing purposes. This is nothing new and I've seen similar teasers plenty of times before, such as the "5G Master Key" teaser, the "3 Stock Retirement Blueprint" and many more... which are usually fairly misleading.
Who Is Paul Mampilly?
Paul Mampilly is a former hedge fund manager turned investor, who now provides investment advice/commentary to the public via newsletter services, which he provides through the Banyan Hill publishing company.
From the video presentation you may have lost some trust in him, because of the bold claims he makes and the subtle sales pitch he throws, but the guy is actually legit. He has been featured on Fox Business News, CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and other networks for his expertise.
He does know what he's talking about, which you would expect from someone with over 25 years of experience in the investment world, where he managed billion-dollar hedge funds and large accounts.
One of his most notable accomplishments comes from 2008 - 2009, when he participated in an investment competition where he grew an initial starting investment of $50 million with a 76% return over the year... which let me remind you was during the recession.
So anyways... he knows his stuff, and currently his main newsletter service is called Profits Unlimited... as you should have heard of if you watched the entire 1+ hour presentation for America 2.0.
The Sales Pitch
If you made it through the whole presentation then you know that it ends in a sales pitch. The whole thing is set up to promote Paul Mampilly's advisory newsletter service, Profits Unlimited...
According to what we are told, the "My No. 1 Stock" and "The Blacklist" reports are free, but of course you have to buy a Profits Unlimited subscription before you can get these "free" reports.
So... are they really free? Well, you decide on that.
What Is Profits Unlimited?
I'll just give you a brief summary here.
Profits Unlimited is, in a nutshell, a follow-along style investment advisory service where subscribers are provided with specific investment recommendations, market analysis and more. Investors could, if they really wanted to, simply follow along with what Paul tells them to do, but of course I'd never recommend just blindly following advice.
If you've ever heard of other advisory services like Strategic Trader or The Oxford Income Letter then you know what to expect.
What subscribers of this service get includes:
- Monthly newsletter reports that are 8 pages long and provide detailed information/analyses on new investments Paul is recommending
- Trade alerts when it's time to buy or sell a stock, along with guidelines on how to carry out the trade
- Weekly webinars on Tuesdays where subscribers are updated on market conditions, the recommended positions, etc.
- Model portfolio access where one can view the performance of all the recommended investments
- Website access where subscribers can log into the members area to view an archive of past reports, updates, newsletters, etc.
The cost is said to normally be $199/yr, but apparently there is a special promotion going on where you can subscribe for only $47... for the most basic subscription option.
*I'm not sure how real this discount is. It might be a "discount" that is constantly running.
Along with this price there is a 12-month money-back guarantee, in which we are told that you can get your money back if the service doesn't live up to your expectations, which I guess pretty much means that you can get a refund for any reason you'd like...
The America 2.0 Stock - Exposed
You probably just want to know the stock that is being teased, right? Without buying into the newsletter... I can understand that.
Luckily for you, I know what stock he is teasing here, and I'm going to tell you.
To figure it out without actually getting the "free" report that he gives after subscribing to Profits Unlimited, you have to do some good ol' fashion research.
Some hints were are given include the following...
- "can scoop it up for about $10"
- "will be essential to building America 2.0"
- it's a "little known company" in the manufacturing industry
- the company is disrupting the auto, housing, and healthcare industries
- it's valued at about $1 billion, has about 2,000 employees, and has revenue of about $700 million
- it's based in South Carolina
- companies that have recently purchased shares:
- BlackRock - 514,000 shares
- Vident - 404,000 shares
- Invesco Advisors - 8,000,000 shares
So, what the heck is this stock?
After a fair amount of research, it seems that he is talking about 3D Systems Corporation (DDD), which is a 3D manufacturing company.
All the hints that are given to us check out here.
The company trades for just under $10, is based in South Carolina, manufactures things in the auto and health industries, is valued at a little over $1 billion, and on Market Screener I was even able to find that Invesco Advisors holds 8,000,000 shares... just as mentioned.
Is this really the "tremendous" investment opportunity that it is claimed to be?
Well, this isn't a question you can easily answer.
However, the marketing material is over-hyped, at least in my opinion.
The company's stock price really hasn't done all that much lately. It is actually lower than it was 5 years ago.
But, according Mampilly it's going to skyrocket, which could be true to some extent with the potential a 3D company like this holds. I don't think anyone doubts the potential of a company like this.
The Takeaway
Okay, let's do a quick recap here:
- America 2.0 is a made-up term to refer to the industrial revolution that Paul Mampilly is predicting will come
- The video presentation is supposed to look like a news broadcast, but is actually a sales pitch
- The "free" reports that Mamphilly teases are only obtainable AFTER you purchase a subscription to his Profits Unlimited service
But of course there is no need to purchase a subscription to the service if you just wanted to find out what his No. 1 stock pick was, because I just went over it. It's DDD, 3D Systems Corporation.
So, anyways... I hope you enjoyed this review and found it helpful. If so, please share it to help spread the word.
PS: Stock Advisor is one of the few investment advisory services I actually recommend, largely because it is reputable and has a proven track-record.
Hello, Kyle. I’ve been trying to find out what is fake and real. I’m just here to get down to the real info. I know the market is about to BOOM after all this (extra) stuff that’s going on in our country! I’m just a plain, simple, hard~working woman that would DEFINITELY LOVE a PIECE OF THE PIE..THE AMERICAN DREAM!! I just need some direction and guidance WITH OUT purchasing something! I just don’t understand how and when information came with a price. I’m not one of those that want to get RICH QUICK. I would like to be in a good place financially and have a good feeling in my HEART because I got the BEST information from a respectful person! And behind it I will be prosperous!!
Hello Shonia. Ya, just about everything comes at a price these days. There is a lot of good quality free information out there, but filtering through it on your own is the hard part. I’m not really sure of any “good” quality advisory services that aren’t going to just be shoving promotions down your throat constantly… unfortunately.
That said, Motley Fool’s Stock Advisor is an advisory service I recommend. It’s not free, but they do have a 50% discount right now, making it $99/yr. It could possibly be worth it, but this depends on your financial situation.
yesterday I listened to Pauls presentation american2.0 I got the membership. Am I to wait for the portfolio or the blacklist thru the mail.
Did you get the reports?
You are so good, thank you.
Nicely done.
Good work Kyle thanks
Thank you!!! I really found the info on this guy and his picks to be very useful!! I appreciate all the work you put into this so I can really make an informed decision!! Job well done..
